A bohemian-inspired style is a fun way to dress! With music and art festivals around the corner (I see you, South x Southwest), I’m sharing a few suggestions on how to channel that Boho vibe!

Flowy clothes
Free flowy clothing pieces like dresses and maxi skirts are typical for a romantic bohemian style. Comfortable and breezy, these pieces exude bohemian charm.

Billowy blouse
Bring boho vibes by wearing comfortable and loose peasant blouses. Pair with flared jeans, mini skirts, or shorts – it’s an easy staple to wear with just about anything!
Wear exotic patterns
Look for fun patterns when dressing up for that next music event (Coachella, you’re on my bucket list!). Florals, eyelet embroidery, eye-catching geometric patterns, tie-dyed print all adds up to that vintage charm and sophistication.

Be natural
Natural is key when it comes to dressing Boho. Go for neutral shades like tan, brown, beige, or black. You can wear booties (leather or suede look) in the colder months or sandals in the warmer months.

Give me all the embellishments
Say yes to lustrous beads, lovely lace, dainty crochets, tassel ties, frilly fringes, polished metals, earthy stones to make that boho-chic statement!
Think layers
Wear a vest on top of that tee or a long-sleeved shirt (if you find on that has fringe, you get bonus points!). Add a floppy or Western-inspired hat. Accent with a long silver chain necklace with turquoise accents for the win! Chunky bracelets (anklets or armbands are highly encouraged) and rings are favorite accent pieces. Earrings are a nice finishing touch (feathers are my favorite). Bandanas, headbands, and hair scarves are lovely accents also (FYI: my hair tutorial to go along with that boho look is coming soon!).

Glad you like them too Julie! I am a sucker for dresses! 🙂
Beautifully put-together outfits! ❤️ You look amazing in hats. I have a few but have admittedly been a bit shy to wear them. I’m never sure exactly when to sport them, or if they’ll be too much. But heck, I just need to have the confidence and go for it right? I love peasant blouses and fringe/tassels, as well as flowy dresses and natural folk jewelry. So I definitely bring the boho chic look out from time to time. And artisan-style leather crossbodies are good accessories to complete the look – I recently found a lovely hand-embossed leather purse in Argentina that I can’t wait to wear with some of my boho looks.

Thanks Jacqueline! You would look so beautiful in a hat! I think you’ve sported them in an IG photo a few times, and you look amazing! Can’t wait to see that leather purse on you! Sounds like a great accessory!
