Holiday Guest Prep

Clean and declutter

Organize your home well ahead of the visit.  Make space in the rooms for your guest's belongings. Don't wait until the last minute to clean.

Make space in the entryway

If you have a coat closet or rack, make sure to clear that out to make space for coats and hats.

 coffee station

If you don't already have one, have a designated area with the essentials: coffee, tea, sugar, cream, snacks, and utensils.

welcome basket

Go the extra mile and have a welcome basket with essentials like toothbrush, toothpaste, soaps, eye mask, lotions, etc

Freshen up sheets and towels

Freshen up the sheets and towels a day or two of their arrival.  For towels, I like to wrap it in ribbon for that special touch!

Have a floral arrangement

What a great way to welcome your guest with have a beautiful flower arrangement in their room!  It's a wonderful way to brighten up someone's day!

have the room smell amazing

I love candles and room diffusers!  If you have some available, put them in the room to enhance their experience for a restful night’s sleep.

luggage rack

It sure is convenient to have this available.   The rack provides an elevated place for easier access to unpack while keeping the suitcase off the floor.

Write a welcome note

Express your appreciation for your guests as they've made time to come see you!  Make them feel welcome and create some excitement for things you'll be doing together!

wi-fi

EVERYONE asks for this, so make sure you have it printed or written out.  Bonus points if you create a QR code to scan, so they don't have to type the password!

Keep it cozy

Have enough throws and blankets to keep you and your guests warm.  Perfect for watching movies or catching up late into the night!
