Suggestions of cheap eats and high-end restaurants to experience the Nashville culinary gems!
The Nashville Jam & co.
Grab breakfast or brunch in a casual setting with homey interiors. Indoor and outdoor seating available.
Hot Chicken Biscuit with egg, Stuffed French toast with custard and blueberry compote, and Southern Poutine with smoked pulled pork on top of fries and cheese.
Mas tacos por favor
The classic "hole-in-the-wall" and OH.SO.GOOD Mexican restaurant. You can dine in, sit outside the patio, or order take out.
More like what didn't we have (haha)! We ordered a variety of street tacos, elote, chicken tortilla soup, margaritas, and a refreshing pineapple cilantro agua fresca.
Cafe Roze
A cute cafe located in East Nashville serving food all day.
Try the Roze Latte; it definitely had a strong rose flavor to it. A cult-favorite, Turmeric Steamer, has turmeric, honey, and almond milk.
I tried the Smoked Trout which is served on a toasted baguette. Topped with radish and chives and has a touch of lemon to brighten this delicious dish.
Five Daughters Bakery
Family-owned bakery known for their "100 Layer Doughnuts" - a cross between doughnuts and croissant.
Vanilla cream topped with vanilla buttercream and powdered sugar. Chocolate is also a hit!
deacon's new south
A steakhouse located in downtown Nashville known for "modern culinary concept with a Southern slant".
Start with Fried Broccolini topped with pecorino, lemon, dill crème fraîche, and aleppo chile. Their steaks are a must have like this perfectly cooked Bone-in Ribeye.
For my non-steak eaters, they also serve delicous seafood and pasta dishes!
Hattie B's
This place is legit! Specializes in hot chicken. Heat levels are from no heat to super hot! Don't say I never warned you!
We had the 1/2 Bird Special that comes with 2 sides (chose Mac and Cheese and southern greens). This is the "Hot" spicy level.
Bobby Hotel rooftop lounge
Have pre-dinner drinks in the back of a 1956 retrofitted Greyhound bus. I love the nostalgic feel!
Enjoy snacks like Maryland Dip to go with your specialty cocktail, wine, or beer. Views of Nashville's Arts District isn't bad either!
Pinewood Social
Great for gatherings with friends, family, or coworkers! Have fun playing games while you munch on delicious bites!
